Nothing is cooked here — ripe banana is simply mashed into full-fat plain yogurt until the two become one soft, spoonable bowl, thick enough to sit on a spoon.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1Peel ½ ripe banana and mash it on a plate with a fork until it is a smooth, even paste.
  2. 2Spoon ¼ cup plain full-fat yogurt into a bowl, choosing one with no added sugar or sweeteners on the label.
  3. 3Fold the banana through the yogurt with a spoon rather than whisking, so the bowl stays thick, and press out any firm ribbons of banana against the side.
  4. 4Serve cool or at room temperature, staying with your baby while they eat.

Tip. Mixing it just before serving keeps the banana from darkening the yogurt.
